My Story

Hi,

I'm Herb!

Hi,

I'm Herb!

About Herb Yarbrough III Whatz Poppn… Born in Louisville, Kentucky home of the Kentucky Derby and the birthplace of Muhammad Ali.

Growing up in the inner city wasn’t always a pleasurable experience but the love from family and friends was paramount. Graduating from The University of Louisville, life changed for Herb as he knew it and he  began running with the wrong crowd. Knowing that there had to be more to life than working a 9 to 5

Herb used that education to fall into the corporate world and work as the Corporate Safety Compliance Manager. Traveling 85% of the year domestically for work, the traveling journey emerged.

June 2013, Herb took his first international trip to Trinidad and Tobago to visit a friend and was hooked. Then South Africa, London, Paris, Guatemala, Prague and the list goes on.

Knowing there was a disparity in African Americans traveling abroad Herb wanted to bring cultural awareness back to the culture. An analytical thinker, lover of writing and all things creative; Herb has focused on the disparity of abroad travelers of color of all ages in hopes to bring that cultural experience, so everyone has a “ego travel” story to tell.

Ego Travel as he explains, experiences that one shares of their experience with selfies and punch lines on their preferred social media post. Always been a lover of fashion and everything different, Herb started Travelers Fetish in 2018 with the culture of melanin travelers in mind. This curated travel experience will be like nothing you’ve experienced. Herb has added his creative super powers to every handpicked destination.

Herb’s favorite quote ...

The biggest lie that man ever tells is the one he tells himself. No matter what I had to go through, I always knew that I had to be true to the man in the mirror or else I wouldn't be happy. "A dream deferred" is not a dream denied. Taking my lumps like everyone else but I'll forever enjoy the process."
